About ACHCR
ACHCR was formed in
June 2008. It is the sister site
of NCHCR which was formed for physician recruiting in March 2005.
Independent Healthcare recruiters need an exclusive Coalition
effort to provide them with the resources larger corporations utilize. By
banding together ACHCR and NCHCR members represent a significant recruiting
presence in the industry. As a group, we share common strengths and long
term relationships with both our clients and candidates. This is daily
evidenced through participation on our nationally advertised job boards, split
rich networking environment, Contract/Locum placement service, co-op programs,
and adherence to a high ethical business standard.
ACHCR is promoting
the fact that independent healthcare
recruiters play a critical role in the candidate placement market (Full Time
& Contract.) In addition to
historical activities of recruiters, the independent healthcare recruiter meets
a need the In-House recruiter cannot.
Experienced
candidates elect to seek out new opportunities at predictable points in their
careers. They are busy in their careers and need someone who will
confidentially find opportunities, discuss them with the candidate, and submit
their resume on a facility-by-facility basis. Newly trained candidates
often align with our service once they realize we know how to find the
opportunity they are looking for. Both groups of candidates place
themselves in a position one person removed from the In-house recruiter.
That person is the Independent Healthcare Recruiter.
We offer a service larger firms often fail to provide.
ACHCR and NCHCR
maintain exclusive job boards.
Healthcare facilities are not allowed to post their jobs, but are allowed to
see candidate/physician profiles (not CVs or resumes.) If they see the
profile of a candidate they are interested in, they must contact the
independent recruiter who is representing the candidate. A contingency
contract will be initiated with the recruiter who profiled the candidate (not
ACHCR) at the time an In-house recruiter finds a candidate they desire to
review for the opportunity.

NCHCR currently has 3,500+
recruiter-profiled physicians/candidates. This is not a down
loaded database. These are physicians a NCHCR member has profiled and is
holding their CV.

physician (permanent/locum) opportunities throughout the
U.S.
NCHCR currently
enjoys a national membership of about 72 recruiter firms, which
represents over 200 recruiters in their employment.
Recruiter profiled
physician/candidate data base access for In-House recruiters
who work with contingency or retained recruiters.
NCHCR adheres to an excellent
standard of business practices.
NCHCR membership is
revoked if there is an infraction in our ethics by a member (to date
this has only occurred once.)
