Job Description:
The Director of Trauma Program is responsible for the organization of services & systems necessary for a multidisciplinary approach to providing care to injured patients. He/she assumes day to day responsibility for process & performance improvement activities as they relate to nursing & ancillary personnel, assists the Trauma Medical Director in carrying out the same functions for the positions. Directs the educational, clinical, research, administrative & outreach resources to deliver optimal quality care to trauma patients.
Reports to CNO, direct experience in Trauma leadership required.
3 FTE’s report to this role – EMT coordinator, trauma registrar, clinical coordinator injury prevention
Level 3 with proposes Level 2 intention
This role is over the entire trauma program
35000 ER visits per year-trauma 20-30% of total ED volume
